Activities going on in Barcelona

There are various events of interest in Barcelona, beyond the beaches...

Trilengua organizes regular multi-lingual events and readings

The Prostibulo Poetico is an interesting mix of poetry, theatre and imagination:

There are also open readings at 'Collage Tea & Poetry' night, hosted by Ed Smallfield and Collage on the third Friday of every month. Each evening highlights 1-2 featured writers and is followed by an open mic. For those interested in participating in future T&P nights (writers, musicians and/or visual artists) or for infomation on Ed Smallfield's creative writing workshops held at Collage, please contact Kate at

Other than that, the list of literary events in the city is enormous, whether it's simply literature in Catalan at Horiginal or the multitude of events organized city-wide, including the festivals Primera Persona and  Kosmopolis at the CCCB, the Barcelona Poetry week, or the noir festival Barcelona Negra.
